The traffic situation in the Munich area is currently causing turbulent times. Extensive maintenance work is pending on the busy federal highway 2, which connects Fürstenfeldbruck with the A 96 and A 99. The construction work includes a road renewal of 4.6 kilometers in the direction of Augsburg, with the section in the opposite direction from Puchheim to Germering-Nord also being renovated. The reason for this extensive renovation work is significant damage caused by winter frost periods and high traffic loads. The affected section of the B 2 will be completely closed during the entire construction period, but access ramps at the Puchheim-Ort junction will remain accessible in both directions.
