SV Raisting misses promotion: disappointment after a successful season!

SV Raisting ended the 2024/25 season in the district league with a solid fourth place. Despite a strong start with seven wins in a row, the club has to look back on a missed opportunity to establish itself in the top three. Coach Johannes Franz commented opposite Mercury his disappointment at the lost opportunity to reach second place, especially after 57 points in the final table.

The second half of the season was marked by injuries for Raisting, which hit the team hard. In particular, Sinan Grgic's torn cruciate ligament and the absences of captain Max König and striker Vinzenz Wolf put the focus on the key players who were prone to injury. “With King and Wolf we would have definitely made it into the promotion relegation,” believes Franz, who hopes for a better future.

Despite the strong start, Raisting had considerable difficulty scoring points against teams from the bottom of the table. Draws against teams that had already been relegated, such as Habach, Neuhadern and Aich, show that these results were crucial for missing out on promotion. The team only got one point in two meetings with Peiting - a result that disappointed the fans. There was also a low point in the form of a 3:5 defeat against Deisenhofen II, which illustrates the high goal rate conceded.

Multerer, the goalscoring jewel

A bright spot in the season was without a doubt Benedikt Multerer, who was Raistinger's top scorer with 18 goals. The striker not only drew attention with a hat trick in the game against TSV Brunnthal, but was also praised by coach Franz for his role model. “His mentality is worth its weight in gold for us,” emphasized the coach. Multerer, who joined Raisting from TSV Peiting, had limited play the previous season due to injury, but managed to establish himself as an important player this season. “Team success comes first,” said Multerer, who will also be moving to TSV Murnau next season.

In addition, Raisting is facing personnel challenges: In addition to Multerer, Max König, Vinzenz Wolf, Sinan Grgic and Florian Breitenmoser are also leaving the club. Despite these departures, Franz will remain as coach and sees the upcoming changes as an opportunity to reshape the team. He plans to hold the first training session on June 21st to start the new season with fresh enthusiasm. “We have to learn from the mistakes we made and come back stronger,” said Franz.
