SV Raisting misses ascent: Disappointment after a successful season!
Raisting, Deutschland - The SV Raisting ended the 2024/25 season in the district league with a solid fourth place. Despite a strong start with seven wins in a row, the club has to look back on a missed chance to establish itself among the top three. Trainer Johannes Franz expressed Merkur to achieve second place, especially after 57 points in the end table.
The second half of the season was shaped for Raisting of injuries that hit the team strongly. In particular, the cruciate ligament rupture of Sinan Grgic and the failures of captain Max König and striker Vinzenz Wolf focused on the key players that are prone to injury. "With King and Wolf we would certainly have come to the promotion relegation," believes Franz, who hopes for a better future.
Problems against cellar children
Despite the strong start, Raisting had considerable difficulties to score against teams from the table cellar. Tipping against the already relegated teams such as Habach, Neuhadern and Aich show that these results were crucial for the missed ascent. In two encounters with Peiting, the team only scored one point - a balance that disappointed the fans. There was also a low point in the form of a 3: 5 defeat against Deisenhofen II, which illustrates the high goal scoring quota.
Multerer, the goal scorer jewel
A ray of hope in the season was undoubtedly Benedikt Multerer, who was the best scorer of the Raistinger with 18 goals. The striker not only drew attention to himself in the game against TSV Brunnthal with a hat trick, but was also praised by coach Franz for his role model. "His mentality is golden value for us," emphasized the coach. Multerer, who came to Raisting from TSV Peiting, had only played a limited extent in the previous season due to an injury, but managed to establish itself as an important player this season. "The team success comes first," says Multerer, who will also switch to TSV Murnau next season.
In addition, Raisting faces personnel challenges: In addition to Multerer, Max König, Vinzenz Wolf, Sinan Grgic and Florian Breitenmoser also leave the club. Despite these departures, Franz will remain a coach and sees the upcoming changes as an opportunity to redesign the team. He plans to hold the first training session on June 21 to start the new season with fresh vigor. "We have to learn from the mistakes made and come back more," said Franz.
