New night bus line: Moosach closes the gap to Allach and Untermenzing!
There will soon be a new night bus line in Munich that connects important S-Bahn stations in the northwest of the city. This initiative will particularly benefit night owls and travelers who have no meaningful public transport connections to Allach, Untermenzing and Karlsfeld after the S2 closes at 1:30 a.m. Loud tz.de The new line will operate from 1:30 a.m. to 5 a.m.
The application to introduce this night bus route was submitted by the FDP to the Allach-Untermenzing district committee and the city council and received unanimous support. Karsten Geßner from the FDP explained that with the closure of the S2 there is a significant accessibility gap that urgently needs to be closed. The MVV app currently shows a gap from 1:50 a.m. to 5:09 a.m. for Untermenzing; the other train stations are similarly affected. The only option for young people is often the expensive taxi or Uber route, which also poses risks as young people are often under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A step in the right direction

A good bus connection can be a real plus here, especially on the weekends, when the U3 already runs every 30 minutes.

The future of mobility in Munich
With the new night bus route, the city is setting an example for more transport options and safety at night.
